John Mulaney and the Sack Lunch Bunch

Christmas comes (one day) early this year, as December 24th brings the premiere to Netflix of JOHN MULANEY AND THE SACK LUNCH BUNCH, a musical variety special starring Mulaney and 15 insanely talented kids.

I was lucky enough to co-write all 9 (!) songs in this special with John and his writing partner Marika Sawyer, and the whole project was a real pleasure from start to finish. Special guests include Jake Gyllenhaal, David Byrne, Andre De Shields, Annaleigh Ashford, Richard Kind, Natasha Lyonne and Shereen Pimentel.

My musical soul brothers Mike Pettry and Dan Pardo orchestrated and music directed (respectively) and made everything sound incredible. I couldn’t be more excited!

Plus: the soundtrack drops on all digital platforms the very same day from Drag City Records!

Co-op!

The Co-op episode of Documentary Now was released in February to wide-acclaim and I was nominated along with my co-writers Seth Meyers and John Mulaney for an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the song “Holiday Party (I Did A Little Cocaine Tonight)”.

The episode, along with the rest of Doc Now’s 3rd season, is now available for streaming on Netflix, and Co-op’s cast album is available for purchase and streaming from all your favorite digital platforms.
