ELI BOLIN is an Emmy-nominated composer & lyricist for theater and television.

For television, Eli wrote the songs for DOCUMENTARY NOW’s ‘Original Cast Album: Co-op’ with John Mulaney and Seth Meyers. Their song ‘Holiday Party (I Did A Little Cocaine Tonight)’ was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music & Lyrics.

Eli co-wrote all the songs for the Netflix musical variety special JOHN MULANEY AND THE SACK LUNCH BUNCH.

He has written music for SESAME STREET since 2010, as well as ANIMANIACS, DIFFICULT PEOPLE, JULIE'S GREENROOM, BILLY ON THE STREET, Adult Swim and the theme song for the new PBS KIDS/AMAZON reboot of CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG.

Eli co-hosts the video game podcast BIT PARADE with his long-time collaborator and friend Mike Pettry.

He is the founding music director of STORY PIRATES, which performs songs and sketches adapted from the creative writing of children all over the country.

For theater, Eli recently contributed music for Rachel Bloom's DEATH, LET ME DO MY SHOW, wrote music & lyrics for FOUND (Atlantic Theater Co.) and composed the scores for VOLLEYGIRLS (NYMF 'Best of Fest' and ‘Most Promising New Musical’), SKIPPYJON JONES (Lucille Lortel nom.) & its sequel SKIPPYJON JONES: SNOW WHAT, ROLLER DISCO (ART), SCHMOOZY TOGETHERNESS (Williamstown), FRINGICAL! A FRINGICAL!! (NYMF) and I SING! (off-B'way). With Mike Pettry, he has written book, music & lyrics for the new rock & roll Christmas musical THE LAST SONG OF EDDIE SCOURGE.

UPCOMING: The new musical HOW TO WRITE DIRTY BOOKS FOR FUN AND PROFIT with writer Rachel Shukert and the London premiere of FOUND.

Eli served as the music director for Billy Eichner & Robin Lord Taylor's long-running live show CREATION NATION  as well as the UCB show BILLY EICHNER GOES POP!

As an actor, Eli appeared on 30 ROCK as a member of the Woggels and blink and you’ll miss him in TICK TICK BOOM.

Eli is a graduate of Northwestern, a member of ASCAP and the Dramatists Guild and is represented by Max Grossman at UTA.
